Welcome to The Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Vejalpur
The Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Vejalpur, is a co-educational, English medium school affiliated to the Gujarat board, for bright tribal children run by the Tribal Department, Government of Gujarat.
There are several EMRS schools all over Gujarat but the Vejalpur school has been academically managed by the Navrachana Education Society on an honorary basis since 2007.
This school is close to Vadodara (NES teachers provide guidance and inputs, as necessary) and the Society has built it from scratch so we had the advantage of putting in fresh systems rather than wasting time-fighting existing ones.
The Vejalpur EMRS school is the flagship school of the Tribal Program, with excellent Class X results. Through a carefully designed interventional program, NES makes sure that as these bright tribal children step out into a new world, they still retain pride in their tribal traditions, values and beliefs and nurture them as they engage with this outside world.

The school is committed to providing challenging academic, artistic and social standards to tribal children of Gujarat and to enhance them to assume responsibility towards preservation and growth of their community, culture and heritage and to contribute positively to and succeed in a competitive, dynamic and global society.
